Eng. Yamani was born in 1393 H, in Taif - Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He graduated in 1995 from the Faculty of Engineering- Industrial Engineering Section at King Abdul Aziz University, Jeddah.

Eng. Yamani started his career as a project manager for a year, then General Manager at Al Samaha Commercial Company-Jeddah, Dallah for Industrial Investment Co, and Dallah Agricultural Co. In 2003, He occupied the Position of General Manager for Dallah Holding Co. In 2005, HE held the position of Chief Executive Officer for Arab Media Company (AMC), and the Assistant Chief Executive of alBaraka Bank Holding Company. From 2017 until present, Eng. Yamani became Deputy Chief Executive of the Business and Development Sector for the Group

His Excellency is the Chairman of the Board of Directors for various companies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia like Itqan Capital, Halawani Brothers, Maad International Co., Al Qabdah in Makkah, Al Thuraya Holdings, and Al Manakhah Al Hadary Real Estate Development Company, as well as the International Biscuits Company in Riyadh.

In addition to being the Chairman of alBaraka Bank Egypt since 27 March 2020. Eng. Yamani is also the Chairman of some companies in Egypt like Dallah alBaraka Bank Investment and Development Company, Ismailia Poultry Company in Cairo, Arab Moltaqa Investments Company in Cairo, New Ismailia Company for Urban Development, Al Tawfiq Company for Financial Leasing in Cairo, and Halwani Brothers Egypt Company in the 10th of Ramadan, Dallah Real Estate Investments Company in Cairo, Simla Company, and Alam Al-Roum Company in Cairo and Almaza Real Estate Development Company.

As for the membership of the Board of Directors, His Excellency is a member of the Board of Directors of the Dallah Al-Baraka Holding Group, the Aseer Trade and Industry Company, and the Saudi Foras Investment Company.

He was also a member of the board of directors of Al-Tawfiq Company for Financial Leasing, MTN Company in the Syrian Arab Republic, Jusoor Swicorp Company, National Petrochemical Industries Company “NATPET”, Al Rabie Food Company, The Food Services Group Company, Dallah Doyle Company for Bitumen Manufacturing and Marketing, Eng. Yamani is the Vice Chairman of Al Tawfik Mutual Fund—Cayman Island.

In Beirut - Lebanon, he holds the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Honor Club Company, the Honor Company, Al Tawfiq Development and Investment Company "ADECO" and Godiva Investment London in the United Kingdom.

Hazem Hegazy is the CEO and Vice Chairman of alBaraka Bank Egypt since October 2021 till present.

He has over 31 years of experience across Egypt and the GCC specifically in retail, SME’s, branches, and risk management.

Before joining alBaraka Bank, he held the position of the Executive Vice Chairman at Banque du Caire from 2018.

Mr. Hegazy held several positions of different responsibilities including the CEO of Retail and SMEs at the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) for two years.

He also served as the CEO of Egypt division of Network International (NI), a leading UAE-based payment solutions provider, where he initiated the strategy plans and streamlining operations that helped maximize the company’s profitability.

Prior to that, he was the Head of the Consumer Banking Group at Barclays Bank Egypt where he managed the bank’s retail and branch network solutions.

Also, at NBE he was earlier appointed for 6 years as Group Head of the Retail and Branches, where he restructured the retail business.

From 2007 to 2008, Mr. Hegazy held the position of VP Head of Retail Banking at the Arab Bank, and from 2005 to 2007 he was the Head of Branches at Al Ahli United Bank in Qatar where he demonstrated a full restructuring across all branches and implemented new strategies that boosted the Bank’s performance.

Mr. Hegazy served as AVP Operations Risk Manager for Union National Bank in UAE where he played a central role in formulating the Bank’s risk management strategies. He also held the position of the Manager of Asset Sales with the UAE division of Standard Chartered Bank where he developed consumer-facing products, enhanced the portfolio, and expanded the volume of the bank’s retail business.

The beginning of his banking career was with Mashreq Bank in the UAE where he held numerous posts ending with a 4-year role as Branch Manager.

He is currently a board member in Tally for Payments Solutions, Egyptian Takaful Insurance company as well as Al Nasr Housing and Development Company in Egypt.

Mr. Hegazy holds a BSc degree in Accounting from the Faculty of Commerce at Cairo University (1990).
